Known also as Nantucket Founders' Cemetery and the First Settlers' Burial Ground, Forefathers' Cemetery is the final resting spot for many of Nantucket's first male European settlers. The cemetery's small plot of land holds a single, lone memorial stone that names the ten men who were buried in the area, in the 17th century. It resides just west of Pine Ridge Cemetery, about 25 miles to the north and west of downtown Boston.
